Healthy winter recipe for kids -- Spinach dip

Spinach is available in abundance in the winter months yet many kids do not like to eat it. If your kid does the same, here's a recipe which will get him to eat spinach without any hassle -- spinach dip. You can serve this dip with sandwiches, roti or any other snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped onions
  • 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1 cup roughly chopped spinach
  • 1/4 cup grated low-fat paneer
  • 1/4 cup low-fat milk
  • salt and to taste

  • Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and green chillies and saut on a medium flame till the onions turn translucent.
  • Add the spinach and paneer and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Add the milk and cook on a medium flame for another 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
  • Add the salt and pepper, mix well and keep aside to cool.
  • Blend in a mixer to make a smooth paste and serve.
