Looking for a quick and healthy snack to give to your kid or eat post workout? Try this home-made muesli bar. With the goodness of oats, almonds, walnuts and more, it makes for a yummy treat and also gives that instant dose of energy you need. Here are 7 foods you can eat post workout.

  • Oats 250g
  • Cranberry 100g
  • Almonds flakes 100g
  • Sunflower seeds 25g
  • Pumpkin seeds -25g
  • Raisins 50g
  • Walnut - 25g
  • Black currants 25g
  • Brown sugar 150g
  • Honey 8tbsp
  • Butter melted 50g

Method:

  • In a bowl mix oats, almonds flakes, raisins, black currants, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cranberries, walnuts.
  • Add brown sugar and honey.
  • Mix well. Add melted butter.
  • Put it in a greased tin/silicon mould.
  • Bake it at 140-160 degree for 35 minutes or till it turns golden.

Chef s tip Always bake this at a low temperature of 140-160 or it will burn.
