Healthy recipe: Gluten-free spinach and paneer cutlets

Cutlets are a popular snack item in India because they are easy to make and also delicious with green chutney and ketchup. However, if you have gluten sensitivity or celiac disease, you have to think twice before eating cutlets as bread crumbs or refined flour is commonly added to the covering. These are the hidden sources of gluten that will shock you.

Even if you don t suffer from gluten intolerance or celiac disease, many people voluntarily decide to go on a gluten-free diet to lose weight. Being on a gluten-free diet can be challenging since you will find that it can be very restricting. However, with the help of this recipe from the team of dieticians, P.D. For the Covering:

Spinach leaves - 25 gms

Fenugreek leaves - 25 gms

Chawli leaves - 25 gms

Bengal Gram Flour - 30 gms

Rice Rawa - 20 gms

Salt to taste

For the Stuffing:

Onion - 30 gms

Paneer - 20 gms

Green chilli - One

Garam masala powder - 2 tsp

Oil - 1 tsp

Salt to taste


For the Covering

Chop the spinach, chawli & the fenugreek leaves finely.

Cool the finely chopped spinach, chawli, fenugreek leaves, Add required of salt. Allow to cool.

Add Bengal gram flour & Rice Rawa.

Mix all the ingredients well and knead into a dough.

For the Stuffing:

Chop the onions and chilli finely.

Grate the paneer.

Mix the onion, chilli, paneer, garam masala powder and salt.

How to Proceed:

Take a little of the covering mixture on a wet palm.

Flatten it out a bit

Now add a little stuffing into it. Shape in the form of cutlet.

Repeat the same for the rest.

Fry well on a non-stick pan till brownish in colour.
