Even cereals don't cut the deal because it is nothing but empty calories. I wouldn't say that my child is a picky eater but she doesn't eagerly try new things. That is unless she sees me eating and relishing it. While her lunch and dinner is sorted - she loves to eat khichdi daal-rice and any vegetable gravy that is served in the table but breakfast is a whole different ball game.
