Healthy recipe: Apple cucumber smoothie

Here's a smoothie to help you cut down on fizzy drinks.

Smoothies are a great addition to your daily consumption of fruits and vegetables. They contain the goodness of fibre, vitamins, minerals and are a great way to hydrate. Smoothies help you detoxify and cleanse your system, keep your skin radiant, aid in digestion and help lose those extra oodles. Here is a cool smoothie made of apple, cucumber and some more healthy ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Cucumber -1/2, medium sized
  • Apple - 1, cut and de-seeded
  • Pomegranate - 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Celery - 1 stalk
  • Chia seeds - 1 tsp (soaked)

Method

Step 1: In a blender, add chopped cucumber, apple, pomegranate, celery and lemon juice. Add some ice cubes and blend it all together.

Step 2: Add the chia seeds and serve!
