Healthy monsoon recipe: Spiced coffee

Enjoy a hot cuppa to beat monsoon blues.

It's hard to say no to coffee especially in the rainy season. How about making it yummier and healthier? This spiced coffee has the goodness of spices such as ginger and cardamom that boost your immunity. Try the recipe here.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp freshly ground coffee
  • 2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 200 ml whole milk
  • 1 tsp sugar (if that is all the sugar you are having) or jaggery
  • 1 tbsp grated sugar-free dark chocolate

  • Combine coffee, 1.5 tsp cardamom powder and ginger.
  • Brew in a little water.
  • Heat milk and sugar until it reaches its boiling point.
  • Pour in the coffee with the milk.
  • Now add the 1/2 tsp cardamom powder with a spoon, over the coffee.
  • Serve with grated chocolate on top.
