Healthy Gudi Padwa recipe: Masala khichia papad

This crunchy snack makes for a good evening meal.

Masala Khichia Papad

Gudi Padwa is on March 31.

Khichia papad is another light and healthy snack to munch on. It is made using rice flour, green chillies and cumin seeds and can be roasted or fried depending on how you like it. But if you are on a diet, chef Sanjeev suggests dry roasting it. Toppings like chutney, chat masala, etc are added on the papad to make it more tasty. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients

8 khichia papad

4 tablespoons green chutney

2 tablespoons red chilli garlic chutney

2 tablespoons chaat masala

4-5 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves

Table spread with omega-3

Method

  1. Dry roast all the khichia papad till crisp. Drain and place on an absorbent paper and set aside.
  2. Drizzle the table spread with omega-3, chutneys, chaat masala and coriander leaves and serve immediately before the papad becomes soggy.
