Not many people have exercises named after them but Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't most people. Before he became an iconic action hero, he was arguably the greatest bodybuilder to ever walk the face of the earth. Here's an exercise the big man discovered himself which is a variation of the regular shoulder press. He found that this variation helped target the front deltoids better than the conventional shoulder press. Here's how you do it:
Step 1: Sit on an exercise bench with back support and hold two dumbbells in front of you at chest level with your palms facing in. Your arms should be adjacent to your torso.
Step 2: Raise the dumbbells like you'd do in a regular shoulder press but rotate your wrists while doing so, so that when you've reached the top, your palms are facing out and the end position is similar to the shoulder dumbbell press.
Step 3: Gradually return to your starting position while rotating your wrists so that they are facing your torso again.
Tips: Don't do this exercise if you have wrist injuries; avoid doing the standing up version if you have lower back injuries.
