Pranayama is a practice made up of many breathing techniques that help improve overall health. It is the main component of yoga. ‘Prana’ literally translates to energy, and ‘yama’ means control. While doing this, you inhale, exhale and hold your breath in a specific sequence, that helps you in more ways than one. It calms the mind by decreasing stress, improving anxiety and help you be aware of your mind and your surroundings.
