In the study, the researchers observed the dietary choices of students who were asked to begin regular workouts for a 15-week period. Moreover, students were asked not to significantly change their diets and most opted for healthier foods. Hence, the types of foods they chose were linked with the intensity and lengths of their workouts. According to Molly Bray, corresponding author of the paper and chair of the Nutritional Sciences department at UT Austin and a paediatrics faculty member at Dell Medical School, the process of becoming physically active can influence one's dietary behaviour. One of the reasons that exercise should be promoted is for the healthy habits it can create in other areas as this combination is powerful. Cooking and eating meal with others have surprising benefits like it can also help you stimulate your appetite. You will find it pleasant and interesting. Doing so can help by turning your attention away from the food. Various studies have also found that eating with friends can help increase food intake by 18 per cent. So, turning meals into occasions for socialization and entertainment can boost your appetite and help you enjoy your food.
