Fitness plan day 95 – De-stress with a warm hug

Hugging is a great way to de-stress. Hug your family and loved ones to stay happy!

Waking up early, working out, eating right, and making healthy choices that must define you by now considering it has been four months you are on the fitness regime. Keep up the good work and keep inspiring others.

Morning Start your day with a warm hug. Hug your kids, or spouse or parents and if you have no one around embrace yourself and experience the happiness. Hugs increase connectivity and build trust. They also reduce stress.

Breakfast Start your day with a high fibre and wholesome moong dosa. Enjoy it with healthy green chutney. Whole moong or green gram is rich in iron and is great for your skin and hair too.

Lunch Tired of eating the Indian fare every day. Make an Oriental dish for lunch today. Try the tasty sesame noodles that are quick and easy to make. You can use whole wheat linguine or noodles to make it healthier. The recipe is great for heart health.

Dinner Make something light and delicious for dinner. Since the summers have set in, eating heavy dinner seems like a task. So try this Gujarati delicacy mooli muthias. If you can t find mooli or radish, you can use bottle gourd or lauki instead of it. The muthias are easy to digest and taste great with a simple salsa.

At home Practice some lunges at home today. After the basic warm-up, beign the lunges and do at least 3 sets of 12 with each leg. Here s how you can do the lunges correctly. They work great for your thighs and hips and tone them to perfection.

In the gym Since how many days haven t you tried cycling? It s a great workout and indoor cycling is not bad either. So get on that cycle at the gym today and go on for 20 minutes. Yoga Balancing your body on a single leg may not be as difficult now given htat your core is getting strong with all the ab exercises and yoga. Perform the vrikshasana or the tree pose today to improve neuromuscular co-ordination and calm your ligaments.

Before sleeping Say good night to your gadgets or cell phone at least 30 minutes before you go to bed. This will ensure you get a good and sound night sleep. Turning off gadgets two hours before sleeping works as good as meditation. So try it each night and experience the difference.
