Waking up early has its benefits. Not only does it give some time to plan and prioritise your day, but there's enough time to finish things on time and follow your schedule to the T and you don't have to rush into or hurry up to finish tasks at hand.

Morning-- If you wake up early in the morning, it is best to start your day with a round of Surya Namaskars. It's the perfect exercise as it works on every muscle group and also improves digestion boosts overall health.

Healthy Recipe

Breakfast--Begin your day a bowl of poha. It is made from pressed rice which makes it an excellent source of carbohydrates. Poha keeps you full for a long time and also keeps your energy levels up. You can add some peanuts or green peas to give a twist to your regular recipe.

Lunch-- Since the temperatures are rising, it is best to eat a light lunch. Avoid eating spicy and oily or junk food. Stick to homemade roti and sabzi. You can also eat raitas made with curd along with your lunch to have a soothing effect on your stomach. If you are not a fan of the plain cucumber raita, you can eat this protein-rich lauki raita.

Dinner--Grilled chicken salad is one of easiest to make and also the healthiest salads. It is rich in protein that is required for the day to day wear and tear of the body and also contains the required amount of vitamin and minerals. Here's the recipe to make a healthy grilled chicken salad.

Snacks--Fresh fruits are best to curb that untimely hunger. Snack on a handful of grapes or an apple in the evening instead of your cup of coffee. Avoid drinking fruit juices, packaged or fresh they are not as healthy as the fruit. Fruit juices contain very little fibre as compared to the whole fruit and contain a lot of sugar.

Exercises

At home--Exercising at home does not mean that you cannot get the best out of a workout. While you might not have machines at your disposal there are exercises that do not require any equipment and are equally effective to gym workouts. Here are five simple workouts you can do at home.

At the gym--Many times, working out on the machines gets repetitive and boring and that is when you should another type of workouts a shot. You probably must have already tried Zumba and Aerobic but have you heard aqua workouts? These workouts are done inside the water in a pool and are highly effective. The excess pressure then affects the muscles and tendons of the spine affecting your sleep. Here are a few other things that might affect the quality of your sleep.
