Everyone who is physically active and exercises complains of aches and swelling in different parts of their body at some point or the other. If you notice any kind of pain or swelling after an intense workout, you could try using an ice pack or even a hot pack for some relief. Don t hesitate to take the day off or two from the gym or even working out at home. It is important to let your body heal before you think of pushing the limits. Here s how to use a cold pack or hot pack and which one is more effective.

Morning: Not everyone is a morning person and finding the strength to get out of bed can be an uphill task on some days. Even after waking up, you can feel extremely groggy, tired and worn out. You can start your day by taking 3-4 ice cubes and wrapping them with a handkerchief. Gently dab your face and neck with this until the ice completely melts. Then spread out the wet and cool handkerchief and cover your face with itt. You will feel calm and relaxed and the ice will help in waking up your senses as well. This is how ice benefits your skin.

Breakfast: Having delicious and healthy food for breakfast is without a doubt a great start for your day. You could try this cottage cheese or paneer wrap for breakfast. Paneer is a great source of proteins and if you avoid paneer that has too much malai in it, paneer can also help in burning fats. This recipe is easy to make and you can also have it while you re travelling to office.

Lunch: The important thing to remember while trying to cut down on your junk food intake and eat healthier is that you need to work smart and not hard. If you are planning to make paneer wraps for breakfast, why not use the same ingredients and make methi paneer paratha for lunch? These recipes taste completely different though the ingredients are similar and not to mention, healthy and delicious! Fenugreek or methi is rich in vitamin C, fiber, iron, potassium. Other than that, methi can also fight against acidity and also help you lose weight.

Snacks: If you re a vegetarian and refrain from even eating eggs, doesn t mean you can t give bhurjis a try! Try our soya bhurji recipe for an extremely healthy pre-workout snack. You can have this bhurji with brown or multi grain bread or just with a spoon. This power snack might even help you perform well in the gym today.

Dinner: Eating healthy does not have to be boring at all. For dinner, you can beat all your cravings for any form of salty food by trying out this recipe of baked vegetables with dumplings. This dish also consists of mushrooms which are great for digestion and can also help in boosting your immunity.

At home: If you have a dog, you should take your pet s help in losing weight and being more physically active instead of hiring someone to take your pooch for his daily walks. The best part about this is that once you actually make the effort to get off your couch, you can lose weight while enjoying a great bonding session with your furry companion!
