Fitness Plan Day 74 – It is healthy to take a break and relax too

After so many days of exercising and eating healthy, you surely deserve a rest day to rejuvenate and relax.

You have been diligent with your fitness routine, and sure you can take a break from your fitness routine. Sleep, eat, laze around and give your sore muscles enough time rest and recover from the burn-out. But again, as we always say, don t overdo it. There should be a discipline you should maintain even during your rest days. So don t sleep through the afternoon!

Morning Wake up an hour later and treat yourself to your favourite cup of coffee. Less sugar, more milk and little coffee should be the perfect Sunday morning blend. Remember, while caffeine has garnered a lot of bad reputation, it has its share of goodness too. A cup can instantly boost your mental and physical performance.

At gym On a Sunday, you might not be too enthusiastic to lift heavy weights, so if you are paying a brief visit to your gym. Try using the treadmill for few minutes to get maximum benefit out of it.

Yoga When at home try to do at least 15 to 20 rounds of Surya Namaskar which will work as a total body workout and keep you fit to take on the challenges of the week ahead.

Sleep It is better to get early to bed on a Sunday night so you can save yourself from Monday morning blues. If sleep eludes you on a Sunday night, try meditating for a while which will help you to get a good night s sleep by relieving stress and anxiety.
