You may think you don t need to change your workout plan, but you do as your body gets used to the same exercises and will thus stop showing results after a point. Also, if you do the same exercises every day, you will be more likely to get bored and give up. So shift to a new workout or do a different workout on different days to keep it exciting.
Morning: To begin your day, squeeze a lemon in a glass of warm water. Chew three garlic cloves and drink the lemon water. Drinking this will prevent accumulation of fat in your body and improve blood circulation.
Diet
Breakfast: Eat a lot of fibre for your breakfast. Fibre will fill you up, and prevent hunger cravings. Eat oats with milk or masala oats. You can also complement your meal with a fibre-rich salad.
Lunch: Your lunch should be a proper meal consisting of rotis/ bhakri with vegetables, salads and a source of protein from dal, curd, sprouts or non-vegetarian source with a small helping of rice. You can try this healthy dal makhani. Also, make sure to add a lot of spices to your sabji as they will not only add a unique flavour but also fasten the fat-burning process.
Evening snack: Don t just reserve popcorn for movies, have it whenever you feel hungry. This light item is not only low in calories but can also fill you up quickly. However, make sure that you opt for a plain variety instead of butter or cheese.
Dinner: Have a light dinner and try to have it by eight pm. If you feel hungry again, drink a glass of milk before going to bed. Opt for a combination of salad and soup for your dinner. They won t be too heavy to digest and yet will keep you full. Try this grilled chicken salad and garlic vegetable soup for dinner.
Exercise
At home: You will eventually hit a plateau if you run on the treadmill at the same pace every day. So increase your speed and resistance levels if you want to maximise the results. If you love dancing, do that. Just 10 minutes of dancing a day can help you burn as much as 58 calories. Even if you are not a good dancer just shake your leg on your favourite tracks. At the gym: Before you get on to doing any exercise, don t forget to stretch. Stretching will improve your blood circulation and prevent injuries during a workout. Mix cardio and strength training to maximise your metabolism. You can also try something new and challenging like the CrossFit.
Yoga: If you are a devout yogi, try a new form of yoga. You could try these six fun and weird types of yoga. Yin yoga can also take your fitness levels up a notch. Here are seven reasons why you must try yin yoga.
Sleep: Your body needs adequate sleep not just to lose weight but to improve your overall health. If any aches and pains are preventing you from sleeping, do five minutes of stretching. If you have a neck pain, do these soothing stretches.
