Waking up early in the morning is the first good habit you must follow if you are planning to lose weight or stay fit. There are several health benefits of it too. And it also gives you time to plan the day ahead. To help you stay organized today, here s today s fitness plan:

Morning Wake up and drink a glass of water. Take your yoga mat and start with Surya Namaskar. The exercise engages all muscle groups and is a perfect way to bring energy back to the muscles which were at rest during the night. It also aids digestion and will keep you feeling fresh during the day.

Breakfast On days when you wake up early and have started the day with exercise, the taste buds demand a delicious breakfast too. It may sound too regular but a plate of poha is ideal at this time. Adding some veggies will make it more wholesome.

Lunch You may have already planned a healthy lunch to accommodate the demands of your family members. Add some curd to the menu to up the calcium intake of the day. You can make a healthy lauki raita which is rich in protein and a perfect way to add lauki to your meals.

Snacks If you think consuming juices is ideal for weightloss, you are partially correct. Eating a whole fruit is more beneficial since fruits pack more fibre. If you like juices opt for fresh ones and extract them preferably at home from the hygiene point of view. Don t add any sugar to it. Avoid canned juices at all costs.

Yoga Practice the Supta Baddha Konasana or the reclined bound angle pose today. This pose improves blood circulation. The asana is also known to improve heart health. Invest 15 minutes in performing this yoga.

At the gym Hit the pool today and try some aqua workouts. They are fun and there are even versions like aqua Zumba or aqua Aerobics that you can try to break the monotony of gym exercises.
