Fitness plan day 273 – Play your favourite dance numbers in the morning

You don t need to always start your morning on a calm or dull note. Put all your worries aside and feel happy instantly. Here s today s fitness plan to help you achieve that.

Morning Dance is one of the most interesting ways to shed calories while you are having fun. Even those with two left feet enjoy dancing when they are alone. So begin your morning with an interesting dance workout. You can play your favourite Bollywood numbers and get in the mood.

Breakfast Checked the fridge and you have only bread left? Fret not. This easy bread bhurji recipe is a perfect tangy, spicy item on the breakfast menu and is quick to make. You can even continue dancing while preparing it.

Lunch Instead of making some vegetable curry and rice or rotis for lunch, make a one pot meal. This Bengali khichadi is a good option when you have loads of veggies at home and want to incorporate them in a single dish. The dish also includes lentils making it healthier and colourful.

Snacks The khichdi is a nice and filling meal. You won t be extremely hungry at snack time but it s good to munch on something to stay full till dinner time. It will prevent you from snacking on junk before dinner time. So try this fresh cucumber and mango salad.

Dinner After the delicious lunch, if you are still craving for rice, there s no need to compromise. Rice is not all that bad for weightloss if you workout properly and observe portion control. Make methi sambhar for dinner and enjoy it with some brown rice instead of white.

Exercises

At home You ve already covered the home workout in the morning with the dance routine. However, if you have some more time in hand, start your cardio at home right before going to the gym to get pumped up. Try jumping jacks, another fun workout that shall remind you of your childhood days.

Yoga Yoga works very well for toning your butt and thighs. If you are trying to fit in those old jeans or flaunt those toned thighs in shorts, practice yoga poses like ardha chakrasana or the half wheel pose. It helps in relieving back pain too.

At the gym Now that you ve worked on your lower body during yoga, concentrate on the upper body while at the gym. TRX training is a good way to improve your stamina and build good core strength while doing cardio. Try it today, if you haven t already.

Sleep well tip The weather is not getting any cooler. So if you are back from work drenched in sweat or feeling irritated because of the heat, take a nice cold shower right before bedtime. Once your body cools down, you ll be able to sleep better.
