Eating the right things after a workout is necessary. Post-workout nutrition is important. However, ensure that you take a proper diet. Here are things you must avoid eating immediately after a workout. Take proper care of your body and its nutrition needs to yield better results. On this note, here s today s plan:

Morning A glass of jeera water early morning aids in maintaining the electrolyte balance of your body which will keep you going during workouts. Cumin seeds are rich in potassium and prevent anaemia and constipation too.

Breakfast Having a bowl full of yogurt in the morning is a great way to refuel the muscles. It prepares them for workout too. You can enjoy it with healthy paranthas, muesli and fruits or dilute it with little water and drink it in the form of thick lassi without sugar.

Lunch Dietary fibre is essential to up your metabolism. Include them during lunch in various forms. You can make quinoa stir fry that is a perfect combination of simple and complex carbs, dietary fibre, potassium and proteins.

Snack If you workout in the evenings, grab a snack after half an hour. A handful of assorted nuts like almonds, raisins and peanuts is an ideal way to fuel the body. This will keep you full till dinner time too. Here s how a handful of almonds can improve your health.

Dinner Spicy food not only satiates your taste buds but is great for weight loss too. You can make bell peppers and paneer sabzi with rotis for dinner. The capsaicin in bell peppers helps boost your metabolism too.

Exercises

At homeRunning up and down the stairs is a great workout. It pumps your heart and also burns a good amount of calories. If you maintain a correct posture, you will also be able to get toned hips by doing this regularly.

Yoga Instead of the regular calm yoga poses, you can even try hot yoga at home or the gym. This yoga is high intensity and fast paced and thus is ideal for burning calories while toning your overall body.

At the gymHIIT or high intensity interval training is one of the most rigorous workouts. It is a routine that helps you achieve maximum within a short duration of time. It also helps you lose 50% more body fat than other exercises.

Sleep well tip Practice deep breathing during bedtime. This helps in calming the nerves and will keep negative thoughts away. It will also induce better sleep.
