You have just 165 days more to complete your annual fitness challenge. Push limits now and learn a new thing about your body every day. Did you imagine doing 50-60 squats or 100+ crunches ever? But you achieved that and stuck to the plan. Here s the plan for today:
Morning Soaking in some sun early in the morning energises the mind and body and gives you your daily dose of vitamin D too. Stand out in the sun early in the morning and chant the Gayatri mantra. It doesn t just calm the mind but also improves immunity and keeps your heart healthy.
Breakfast You may have often tried the sweet version of oats but have you tried the savoury version with eggs? High fibre oats with soft eggs make for a perfect fibre and protein rich breakfast. Enjoy it with a smoothie or a cup of milk.
Lunch Keep lunch simple and delicious with turai moong and chana sabzi. Turai or ridge gourd is ideal for weight loss, controls diabetes and even reduces heat in the body. Savour it with dal and rotis for a complete light meal.
Snack If you are into healthy snacking, khakhra is one snack that must be a part of your pantry. Just get some khakhra and sprinkle it with toppings to make a khakhra pizza. Using whole wheat khakhra or bajra khakhra and replacing cheese with paneer makes it super healthy and tasty too.
Dinner Dinner can be light yet hearty. A nice cup of tomato corn soup along with lemon dill chicken salad stuffed eggs is an ideal weekday dinner. It will not leave you bloated and prevent acidity too.
Exercises
At home Before hitting the gym, try some stretching exercises at home. A good stretching routine ensures that you stay away from injuries and muscle tension. It improves your posture and stance while performing different exercises, elongates muscles and provides suppleness too.
Yoga Learn to balance your body well while you work on your abdominal muscles with the Vrikshasana or the tree pose. This asana also improves your focus and concentration and strengthens your core.
At the gym Want to get that perfect hourglass figure? Try these gym exercises for an hourglass figure. You can try the chest press, squats, use the rowing machine, and exercises that will tone your hips and thighs to work on your body from top to bottom.
Sleep well tip If you have exercised for more than an hour, eaten the right food and woken up on time in the morning, it should not be difficult to fall into deep slumber the moment you hit the bed. You can also use one of these techniques to sleep better or have a glass of warm milk with nutmeg powder.
