Whether you want to lose weight or achieve a certain fitness level, the focus should always be on moving forward and enjoying the journey. To make sure that your workout routine does not turn monotonous, we have a plan for you.

Early morning

Do some deep breathing or pranayama early in the morning even before you get out of the bed. It can help eliminate the toxins from your body and also relieve stress.

Healthy recipes

Breakfast: Instead of indulging in heavy parathas, eat a bowl of oatmeal to keep your weight in check. What s more, you will feel fuller and more satiated. If you are bored of the regular bowl of oatmeal, try these yummy oats recipes.

Lunch: Broth soups can be your best friend when trying to lose weight. They fill you up and are low in calories. Try this lemon coriander soup. You can also stock up on some rajma or red kidney beans for a low calorie, hearty meal. You will love this Punjabi rajma.

Evening snack: Keep some hummus in your tiffin box or the fridge and you will never have to opt for an unhealthy snack again. Just smear the protein-packed condiment on your sandwich or toast. Do not go for a readymade one, make your hummus at home.

Dinner: Lean meat is an excellent source of protein that can help build muscle and keep you full. Try this yummy lemon oregano chicken. Do not go for processed meats as it is not good for your waistline or your health.

Exercise

At home: Music can be a guaranteed motivator that will help you pump up through your exercise routine especially on the days when you are too tired or stressed to workout. Whether you are running outdoors or on the treadmill, create a playlist that will put you in the mood to sweat. Also, be sure that your playlist totals 45-60 minutes. You surely don t want the music to stop before the workout is over. You can enjoy every workout with these 20 songs.

At the gym: Try working out with hula hoops at the gym. Did you know hula hooping can burn up to 600 calories an hour? What s more, its fun, physically challenging. Just put some nice music on your playlist and you are good to go.

Yoga: All yoga styles are great to lose weight, but if yoga has got a little monotonous for you, you can try the fast-paced yoga techniques. Vinyasa flow can do the trick for you while also helping you to reach your goal faster.

Sleep well tip

Are you one of those people who sets your alarm early so that you can hit the snooze button and sleep a little more? That extra snooze time is constantly interrupted by the sound of the alarm, and the sleep you get in between beeps is not quality sleep. Setting alarm later can help you sleep better.
