Healthy recipes

Breakfast: Your meal should comprise a fruit (preferably watermelon) or any seasonal fruit along with 3-4 soaked almonds. This will provide you with the necessary carbohydrates and proteins required to start your day and fill your stomach till afternoon. A bowl of oatmeal can also just be perfect. Try these yummy oats recipes for weight loss.

Lunch: A bowl of salad coupled with one bowl of vegetable soup (without any cream) forms a healthy meal to keep you satiated. Combine this Italian Garbanzo salad with hot and sour vegetable soup.

Evening snack: To deal with your evening cravings, consume a glass of coconut water instead of tea or coffee. Apart from being healthy in nature, it will satiate your hunger pangs, thereby helping you to stick to your weight loss goal.

Dinner: You should eat a light yet filling dinner. Consuming a bowl of salad and a bowl of vegetable soup as part of your meal can be ideal. This grilled chicken salad will provide you with all the nutrition you need.

Exercise

At home: With the kettlebell, you will not only lose fat but also gain muscles. The equipment gives you a full body workout by strengthening and toning your entire body. Your metabolism is also increased during the exercise so you end up burning a larger amount of fat. Pick three or four kettlebell exercises and perform them in your daily fitness session. For speeding up fat loss, make as many repetitions as you can of a single exercise.

At the gym: According to Althea Shah, Fitness Expert and VP Marketing Gold s Gym India, combining your cardio with strength training will help you lose weight successfully. To burn more fat, you should go for exercises that target more than one muscle group. Bench press, shoulder press, pull-ups, squats and deadlifts are the five best exercises to burn fat.

Yoga: The best way to tone and strengthen your body is yoga. Virabhadrasana is an excellent way to burn fat around your midsection. Badhakonasana can help burn fat around your thighs. You can also perform 20 rounds of surya namaskar in a day to lose weight from your entire body.

Sleep well tip

If you have trouble falling asleep especially when you have never-ending to-do list tune into your soothing 30-minute playlist. The music will help you relax and drift you to sleep.
