What if you tell you that it just takes a few minutes of your day to stay healthy? When it comes to fitness, it is the little things that aid in keeping you on track. Consider following this fitness plan that will quickly improve your health and fitness.
Early morning
If you are doing an early morning workout, fuel yourself up with some protein and simple carbohydrates like a banana or a handful of almonds. It is also essential to hydrate before a workout so be sure to drink at least 1-2 glasses of water.
Healthy recipes
Breakfast: Made with oats this delectable dessert-like breakfast oats fudge can offer with a lot of protein and fibre to kick starts your day. If you are bored of your regular toast, you can ditch it and try this bruschetta instead.
Lunch: If you are looking for a meal option that is very satiating, look no further than this protein and iron-rich palak soya wadi. This dish is perfectly spiced and completely satisfying. It can also be a good idea to let this nutrient-pack beetroot salad make its way to your lunch time.
Evening: For an easy evening snack, drink a glass of this date and banana smoothie. It will provide you with all the protein to keep you energised till the end of the day.
Dinner: If you are looking for a recipe to support your weight loss this quinoa stir fry can just be perfect. This colourful bean salad will also provide you with all the nutrition that you need. Talk about eating a rainbow.
Exercise
At home: When you are running on the treadmill, push yourself to run for extra five more minutes. Aside from running, perform a workout that will target different muscles of your body. Try this 20-minute workout that mixes bodyweight exercises with cardio.
At the gym: Do light cardio warm-up and then do the bodyweight exercises to torch calories. Make your muscles work harder by creating instability. Balance on a stability ball or a BOSU ball or stand on one leg while performing the moves. Also, ensure to keep things balanced. Walk your back as much as you work your abs to tone and strengthen your entire core.
Yoga: When you are doing surya namaskar or vinyasa flow, do chaturanga push-ups to work your triceps even more. Also, perform faster paced yoga such as ashtanga yoga to burn more calories. Also, remember to push your muscles to the point of being worked not over overworked.
Sleep well tip
