During these hot summer days, it can get difficult to find any motivation to get out of the comforts of your air-conditioned rooms and work up a sweat. Walking outdoors even for half an hour can seem unbearable and the constant humidity puts you at a much higher risk of dehydration and heat stroke. If you do want to exercise outdoors, remember to either do it early in the morning or post 5 pm and always carry a big bottle of water and a cap to protect yoru face. If you're looking for some form of inspiration to walk down this challenging road towards a fitter lifestyle, today's fitness plan might just help in giving you some new ideas.

Morning: If you re not a morning person, starting your day with a healthy breakfast and completing all your chores can be a torturous process. Don t beat yourself up if you re not able to be as productive as you wouldn t want to every morning. Instead, look for a way to easily jazz up your mornings.

That s right, start listening to music from the minute you re awake. Make a playlist of your favourite songs, preferably something upbeat and happy. Start playing music from the time you start brushing your teeth to when you have to leave for work. If you share a room with your spouse or another family member, use headphones so they re not disturbed. You ll notice that you instantly feel more awake, happy and alert.

Healthy Recipes

Breakfast: Instead of having your classic white upma, why not make it healthier and more packed than fiber? Try this dalia upma recipe by Chef Rakhee Vaswani for a healthy start to your day. Dalia or broken wheat along with vegetables like tomato, carrots, French beans and onions, can help in improving your bowel movements and reducing the symptoms of constipation.

Lunch: The best part about seafood is that it is low-calorie, highly nutritious and also tastes great. For lunch, plan at least a day ahead and execute this roasted bombil with koshimbhir recipe. Try skipping rice completely and instead, opt for a crunchy salad. Did you know that seafood can help fuel your grey cells?

Dinner: Healthy eating doesn t have to be boring and monotonous. If you re a seafood lover, why not indulge and have it twice in a day? You can use this shrimp and brown rice poha-pulav recipe by Chef Ranveer Brar. This dish is packed with spices and flavour, so eating brown rice doesn t have to be something that you dread.

Snacks: When we Indians think of salads, bland and boring chopped vegetables are the first thing that comes to our mind. However, salads can also be packed with flavour and taste just as good as your usual high-calorie sabzis. Give this healthy bean salad recipe a try. The ingredients include paneer, boiled soybean, cucumbers, bell peppers and onions which makes for a delicious and high fiber snack.

Exercises

At home: Have you been successfully losing weight on your hips and thighs but you re unhappy that your face still looks chubby? One of the biggest problems faced by women of all different sizes is a double chin. Your home is the best place to get rid of that unwanted fat that makes your face look shapeless. You can try these exercises to get rid of your double chin.

At the gym: Working out can help in improving your posture which will also make you look slimmer. If you have a poor posture which includes a hunched back, you can try out the lying face down plate neck resistance exercise. This will help in increasing resistance of the neck muscles and also the area around your shoulders.

Yoga: If you re worried about premature skin ageing and keeping your skin looking young, yoga can help. You can read this face yoga tutorial for youthful and glowing skin.

Sleep Well tip: Just because you re going to bed, it doesn t mean you should ignore your hair. While sleeping, your hair can get knotted which could result in breakage. One way of having better hair and skin is to switch to satin pillowcases and before hitting the sack, tie your hair in a loose plait. Avoid tying it in a tight bun as that can lead to more hair fall and breakage.
