A quarter of your fitness plan is already over and if you have been following our fitness plan from Day, you must have seen the changes in yourself. These changes are not just physical, yes, you must have lost some weight, toned your body but adopting a healthy lifestyle must have had a huge effect on your mental health too. So moving forward, let's focus on what day 16 of the fitness plan has to offer.
Morning--Not everyone takes a bath every morning. People believe that bathing once in two or three days is fine and most of the time spray some deodorant and step out to conquer their day. And if you too believe in not taking a bath every day, it is best you give up that habit and take a bath every day.
Healthy Recipes--
Breakfast--Never skip breakfast and make sure it is the largest meal of your day. Eating a heavy breakfast just doesn't kick start your metabolism but also keeps you full of energy for a long time. Begin your day with a bowl of yogurt and muesli. Muesli is a mixture of rolled oats and other cereal. It is rich in carbohydrates which keep you energetic most of the morning.
Lunch-- Most of us believe that eating rice will interfere with our weight loss or fitness goals and avoid eating it completely. But that's not true. Rice can actually help in weight loss and you will not put on more weight after eating it. So, don't feel guilty while eating the hara masala brown rice pulao for lunch.
Dinner--Even if your dinner is light, make sure it is a good mixture of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Try this Paneer shashlik with barbeque sauce for a delicious yet healthy dinner.
Snacks--Hunger at odd hours can be unnerving and most of the times you end up eating junk and unhealthy food. If you are tired of carrying fruits with you, here's interesting yet healthy recipe of multigrain crackers to keep you full.
Exercises--
At home--There are many exercises you can do at home that don't require any equipment. Here are 5 exercises you can do at home for a flat stomach.
Yoga--Paschimottasana or the seated forward bend pose helps a great deal in reliving constipation. It also helps in strengthening thigh muscles and relaxes the arms and back.
At the gym--Have you ever used kettle bells? They are excellent to burn calories as they combine cardio and strength training. It is believed that a kettle bell workout can burn up to 400 calories a half an hour session.
Sleep well tip--Reading before going to bed is one of the best habits you can imbibe. Read for an hour every night. But make sure you don't use an electronic reading device and stick to using paperbacks. Reading helps in taking your mind off the day's happening and relaxes you.
