It s a Sunday and that means you have more time in hand. Go out with family and friends for walks. Plan some outdoor activity with your kids. Get outside and play some games. This is a great way to de-stress and is also a form of workout.

Morning The weather is just perfect for an early morning walk. And by that, we mean a brisk walk and not a stroll. Wake up, put on your shoes and go for a 30-minute walk. Here are a few things you should remember while walking to lose weight.

BreakfastPoha is the quickest and most nutritious breakfast you can make. It is packed with iron, low on gluten, a good source of carbs and ideal for diabetics. You can try a healthy kanda poha or mixed sprouts poha.

Lunch Enjoy a hearty lunch of palak soya wadi and phulkas. Soya nuggets are rich in proteins while palak is a rich source of fibre and iron.

Snacks Continental snacks are a big rage. Why not try making some at home? You can make delicious nachos at home that are healthy. Make ragi nachos with cream sauce for snack time today.

Dinner Cook a fancy dinner with this easy recipe of grilled chicken risotto. Replacing white rice with brown is one of the changes you should have already made if you are concentrating on losing weight.

Exercises

At home Since you have gone for a walk in the morning, you can skip the home exercises. After all, you will be practicing yoga and going to the gym too. Your outdoor activity will also count as exercise.

Yoga Relax on a Sunday and unwind yourself with yoga. Performing the Uttanasana or the intense forward-bending pose that helps cure mild depression and beat insomnia. It is also helpful in improving your digestion and kidney health.

At the gym Begin with hamstring exercises to tone your thighs today. You can combine them with your ab exercises. These will help get rid of the fat around your thighs and tone them.

Sleep well tip You have to wake up fresh tomorrow because it is Monday. Sleep on time so you get a complete night s sleep. Drink a glass of warm milk with nutmeg powder. It relaxes your body and induces sleep. Here are different ways you can use nutmeg to fall asleep.
