Fitness plan 209 – Try a combination of home and gym exercises

Some of you may have observed tremendous weight loss with some inch loss. You ve followed our plans for more than 200 days and you have just a few more to go. Don t just rely on home or gym exercises. Do both and add yoga to your schedule too. By now, you sure know how to make time for exercise.

Morning Drink a glass of plain water stored in a copper vessel overnight. Drinking water stored for more than 8 hours in a copper vessel has several benefits. It aids weight loss as copper helps eliminate body fat and also aids digestion. It maintains cardiovascular and skin health and beats anaemia too.

Breakfast You had a fibre and protein rich adai yesterday. Today, make a cool and refreshing cucumber dosa. It is low in calories and also eliminates toxins from your body and provides it with the vitamins required.

Lunch Arbi is an easily available vegetable that is very healthy. It takes care of your heart. Being high in protein, it fuels you with the energy required during the day. Try this simple arbi sabzi for lunch with hot phulkas and a bowl of dal for a complete healthy meal.

Snacks Protein or energy bars are a big rage. But they cost you a bomb. Why not have one which is homemade. For your snack time, make a big batch of muesli bars and store it. You can pack it in your kids tiffin for snack and also keep one with you while on the go to prevent eating junk food.

Dinner Having light dinner not just helps you lose weight but also prevents the bloated feeling you have the next morning. So if you want to wake up feeling light, eat a light dinner and have it as early as possible. This tomato corn soup packed with vitamins and antioxidants is perfect for this season.

Exercises

At home To keep yourself looking fit and fabulous, you will have to work on your entire body. Do you think burpees are difficult to perform at home? Follow these instructions for doing burpees correctly and see the effects.

Yoga A fit and fabulous you must have skin that glows and shows how happy you are. Why not try some yoga poses to get glowing skin and tone your complete body?

At the gym If you have a smith machine at the gym, use it for a complete workout today. Begin with front squats, overhead press and move to bent over rows and drag curls. The list of exercises you can perform on this machine is endless. So get going now!

Sleep well tip Colours influence your mood and you ve heard that before. But do you know that a study by the National Sleep Foundation suggests that white bedsheets help you sleep better? So if you are having trouble sleeping lately, change the sheets to white and see if it helps. We are sure it will.
