Walking on green grass or running in the sand early morning has amazing health benefits.

By now, we are sure you might have tried different fitness methods, tried all the machines out there in the gym and a variation of ab-exercises to get that chiselled physique. This morning try something new, like, running on the sand, this helps to burn more calories, provide resistance and make calf muscles stronger. Don t stay near a beach? Here is how you can eat healthy and keep the calories in check throughout the day:

Breakfast: Skip your usual aloo ka paratha and try this all new semolina paratha which is high in fibre and keeps you satiated for long without suffering from mid-morning hunger pangs.

Lunch: If you are a foodie and a veggie lover, this stir-fried tofu with vegetables is a great choice. High in protein and with a mix of different vegetables this makes a perfect lunch time menu for health freaks like you.

Snack: It is good to snack on fruits rather than on oily bhajiyas. However, if munching on fruits seem to be very boring and mundane for you try this spicy fruit salad, with a punch of tamarind chutney and chopped ginger pieces this makes a great tasty snack.

Dinner: If you want to keep it light a soup and salad would be the best combination. So try slurping on this chicken and oats soup and team it up with grilled vegetable with walnut sauce.

Exercises

Here is how working out the right way can help you be in shape and achieve your fitness goals:

At home: If you are too pressed for time and too tired to hit the gym at the end of the day, try taking your pet for a walk this will help you to relax, unwind and burn few calories without even pumping iron.

At gym: If you are thinking whether to stick to dumbbells or pick up kettle bells to get in shape, know that kettle bells can help you burn more calories and fat due to its swinging movements.

Yoga: If it is yoga that you are more inclined to try these 20 easy yoga exercises that will double up as a total body workout.

Sleep well tip: If you are suffering from insomnia and want a good night s sleep try having nutmeg and milk before going to bed to lull into a good night s sleep.
