If you are not sleeping enough, that tired feeling next day can lower your speed and affect your performance. You will be left with little strength and energy if you toss and turn all night. These simple things recommended by fitness expert Pooja Aroradone around bedtime can be the easiest way to be in your full form while you work out in the morning.

Grab a bedtime snack: If you increase your mileage weekly and your food intake does not follow suit, you will feel exhausted and will end up sleeping and waking up earlier than intended. This happens because your glycogen is depleted and your adrenaline kicks early, waking you up from the bed. The best thing you can do to keep your sleep cycle regular is to grab a bedtime snack. Just make sure you finish having your meal at least an hour before your bedtime. Grabbing a snack too close to the bedtime can lead to indigestion and impair your sleep. You can choose from these 10 Indian snacks in under 150 calories.

Drink smart: Even slight dehydration can make you feel tired and irritable. Drinking two glasses of cold water two hours before bedtime will drop your core temperature and help you fall asleep faster. In two hours, you still have time to release what you drank so that you don t wake up in the middle of the night. Also, make it a point to drink electrolyte-based water 60 minutes before workout. You can mix some salt and sugar in a glass of water and drink.
