Yummy mommy and fitness freak Mandira Bedi is a television celebrity, actress, anchor and fashion designer who doesn't miss on her diet and fitness routine. Here's what this 46-year-old eats to get that fab body.

'Being fit means being comfortable- physically and mentally- everywhere and always,' is her mantra. Eating right is the key. Here's what she has each day:

Breakfast: Cold coffee in the mornings and a banana- all of this before work out.

Lunch: A wholesome meal- roti, sabzi and dal.

Dinner: 'Dinner is my lightest meal, and it s either a salad or whatever s made at home (except roti). Also, I m a vegetarian though I eat eggs.'

Ask her about her following the same routine daily, she explains- 'Come Friday or Saturday, and my diet goes for a toss. If I m having wine on a Friday night, I have to have chocolates with it. In fact, I have a weakness for everything chocolate be it desserts or ice cream. I also love binging on cakes. I mean, it s somebody s birthday, somewhere, right?' Having said that, there are days when we all feel to urge to have 'cheat meals'. What does Bedi have to say to that? 'Oh, I have plenty of cheat days. But I know how to compensate. I always make up for a day of cheat eats with 2-3 days of clean eating and I m back on track.'

There is enough dieting tips or work out routines available on the internet these days. Here's what she has to say about unsupervised dieting. 'You can use the internet to gain additional information, research the kind of diet you want to follow... but if you are trying something new, it s advisable to check with a doctor or nutritionist first and maybe start off the diet with some guidance first,' she suggests.

Lastly, we ask her for her message to the readers. 'Eating clean is a way of life. Many people think that because they work out, they can eat anything. But your diet is 70% important and exercising, only 30%. And on the other hand, there are people who starve themselves. Instead, find nourishing foods you like and eat more of those. Adopt a sustainable diet because you can t beat what you eat. So make healthy diet and exercise your lifestyle. Not necessary you enrol at the gym but you should be active physically and walk or run for 45 minutes daily.'
