The main theory behind keto diet is that being low in carbs it puts body into fat burning state and forces body to utilize fats as a source of energy. The fats that we consume and the ones that are stored are broken down to ketones in absence of carbohydrates and which are then used as the fuel for the body. The concentration of these ketones increases in blood stream and so the person on keto diet feels full without cravings.
