  • 4 cups chopped red part of water melon pureed and strained
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 5 chopped green chillies
  • tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin (jeera) powder
  • Chopped coriander leaves and salt to taste

Method:

  • You should remove the red part and keep aside. Peel the green skin to obtain white flesh of watermelon. Cut the flesh into pieces. You should puree the red part and strain it.
  • Heat 2 tbsp ghee and put cumin seeds. Once, the cumin seeds turns brown, add chopped green chillies. Keep Stiring. Add white part of watermelon and cook till you see the golden patches. Add cumin powder, sugar and salt.
  • You should add watermelon puree and let it boil
  • Keep aside and then add coriander leaves.
  • Mix well and serve hot.

Sweet potato kheer recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 5 almonds chopped or sliced
  • 5 cashew nuts chopped
  • or 1 cup sweet potatoes peeled and grated
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • tsp green cardamom powder

Method:

  • Wash the sweet potato well and then peel the skin.
  • Grate the sweet potatoes.
  • Heat the ghee in a pan.
  • After it becomes hot, add almonds and cashews and fry till they are light brown in colour.
  • Drain the water from sweet potatoes and add it in the remaining ghee along with the mixture.
  • You should saut for four minutes.
  • Then, add milk and bring it to a simmer.
  • Now, add sugar and mix. Then, continue cooking for 4 minutes.
  • You should cardamom powder and cook.
  • Check the consistency as your kheer should be thick.
  • Add fried almond and cashews on top of the kheer.
  • Serve!
