This tangy and spicy recipe of lemon chicken by Chef Ranveer Brar is super quick, delicious and healthy. It requires just about 5 ingredients and can be cooked even on busy mornings when you are rushing to work. The best part about this recipe is that the chicken doesn t require marinating. You can, however, marinate it with the usual ingredients (ginger garlic paste, salt, lemon) if you want. Even though this is a dry recipe, it pairs perfectly well with rice, making it an ideal lunch tiffin box recipe.

1 tbsp oil

1 chopped onion

1 tsp chopped ginger

1 tsp chopped garlic

250g chicken

1 tbsp soya sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of half a lemon

Method:

1) Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and wait for them to turn pink.

2) Add chopped ginger and garlic and cook till you get the aroma of ginger and garlic.

3) Add chicken to this and cover till it is almost half cooked.

4) Add salt, pepper and soya sauce and mix thoroughly.

5) When the chicken is just about done, mix in the juice of half a lemon. Stir so that the chicken is coated with the juice.

6) Serve this hot with rice.
