With temperatures soaring above 40 degrees, it's bound to get uncomfortable with all the sweat, heat wave, humidity and summer-related health problems. Summer is notorious for a number of conditions like dehydration, diarrhoea, migraine, kidney stones and others. One of the best ways to stay healthy even when the sun is blazing outside is to hydrate yourself, not just with water, with some other natural cooling drinks too. Here are some healthy recipes for refreshing summer drinks.
Badam elaichi shake
Ingredients
Milk 3 cups
Almonds (peeled and chopped) cup
Honey 1table spoon
Cardamom powder tsp
Saffron 5 strands
Vanilla ice cream 2 scoops (optional)
Method
Mix the milk, almonds, honey, coriander powder, saffron and vanilla ice cream.
Blend all these ingredients in a blender.
Froth it up and serve chilled. Garnish it with almond flakes
Orange green tea
Ingredients
150 ml green tea chilled
20 ml maple syrup
20 ml homemade ginger syrup
15ml lime juice
1 lime wedge
2 slices fresh ginger
2 slices Malta orange
1 pinch salt
Method
Take a Boston Shaker and muddle 2 slices of orange and ginger together.
Add homemade ginger syrup.
And shake it and double strain into a tall glass.
Fill the glass with ice and add maple syrup and green tea and stir.

Almond and soya milk smoothie
Ingredients
Almond Flakes 100 g
Soya milk 750 ml
Honey 150 g
Whole almonds 350 g
Banana 200 g
Method
In a mixer jar, take whole almonds after removing the skin. Add soya milk, honey and banana in it.
Blend it well and garnish with roasted almonds flakes.
Ginger soda
Ingredients
Ginger pur e 1/2 tbsp
Pure maple syrup 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Black salt A pinch
Soda 250 ml
Ice cubes
Method
Muddle ginger, lemon, pure maple syrup or make pur e.
Top it with soda and ice.
