It isn't uncommon for people to eat rice for lunch and then feel sleepy and lethargic to get any work done. If this happens to you too, you can make of these points to prevent the same. The basic problem with eating rice is that one tends to eat more rice (almost double the quantity) of the amount of rotis they eat. Here's what you can do.

Portion control is a good way to prevent yourself from snoozing after eating rice. If you eat two rotis, eat about one-and-a-half bowl of cooked rice for it. Also, switch to brown rice instead of white as it will release the energy slowly and not make you feel too drowsy. If you feel you aren't full after eating the suggested quantity of rice, have a portion of salad along with it. This will add more fibre too in your diet. Or you can also eat more curry and veggies rather than adding more rice to your plate.
