When you are looking for a protein source, meat could be one of your top choices. However, certain cuts of meat have so much saturated fat and cholesterol that it outweighs its nutritional benefits. Additionally, a diet rich in lean meat can provide you with adequate protein, supplying each of the essential amino acids to support your immune system. Lean cuts have a low glycemic index, so they won t cause any spike in your blood sugar levels. If you are looking to lose weight, lean meat could be best for you as it will help gain muscle and maintain a lean structure.
