Chris Pratt gym workout: We all know the pain of heading back to the gym after missing out on exercises for a solid month. December is the season of joy and merriment. It is the best time of the year, when people meet their friends and families, and celebrate holidays together, indulging in their favourite foods and drinks. While it is recommended to reconnect with loved ones during this special time of the year, the lack of physical activities can make it difficult for people to resume their workout schedules. Not just common people, celebrities deal with this problem, too. This has been the case with actor Chris Pratt, who took to Instagram to post a real and raw video of himself struggling to resume the 'fit life' after missing out on gym sessions for a whole month. The actor, after taking an entire month off, went back to his workout arena where he appeared to struggle. He also confessed that he has been visibly out of shape.
"I took the entire month of December off. It was glorious and I gained a little bit of fluff in this section," Pratt, 45, said in the selfie-style video, while running his hand on his abdomen. "The love handles are all fuelled up. [I am going to] have to work on those. I am going to start with fasted cardio," the Jurassic World actor shared, adding that he also plans to do some burpees and some weight-training.
"It is day one, and my goal is to be in the best shape I could possibly be by the time we start filming 'Terminal List: Season 2', which is in March. That gives me about eight to 10 weeks. I am hoping to transform my body," he said, adding that he is "not new to this game", referring to his famous transformation to become one of Marvel's most iconic characters, the ripped superhero Peter Quill in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise.

"I took some time off, and now it is time to get back on that horse."
In the caption accompanying the video, the Hollywood A-lister wrote: "Anyone out there dealing with the December fats? I know I am! Love handles are fuelled up and fluffy. But that's what the start of the new year is for!"
On day 2 of workouts, Pratt shared a rundown of his 24-minute workout schedule in the form of an Instagram story, in which he mentioned he would be doing planks, reverse lunges, push-ups, squats, etc. "All I'm using today is a floor to show you that you don't need a big gorgeous gym to work out, you need the willpower and you need a surface," he said. "You got a floor, I'm assuming."
Later, in another video, the actor was on the floor and wheezing. "Don't do it," he begged, adding: "I take it back. Quit. Quit while you can." In another follow-up video, Pratt apologised for a "moment of weakness". "I actually finished the workout. I took 26 minutes. My whole day is going to be better. One day at a time. My day's going to be better, and I hope yours is, too. Don't quit."
