Do you do indoor cycling thrice a week and still don t see much difference in your weight? Well, that could be because you repeat the same kind of exercise every day. Same workout sessions improve your heart health and your stamina but don't do much to burn calories. If your workout looks the same day after day and month after month, it is high time you change your workout or mix it up with other exercise forms to lose weight.

According to fitness expert Roshni Shah, when you do the same type of exercise every day, your muscles tend to quickly adapt to the challenge, and that is the time when your weight loss reaches a plateau. To prevent reaching a plateau, you need to develop a schedule which involves different workouts at different intensity levels. Try to reach a peak every time you exercise in every workout session. Instead of working out non-stop, attempt to break your activities for the shorter time span.

  • If strength workouts are your thing, switch your power training moves. Increase the intensity and do more repetition of each move. HIIT can help you burn many calories in a short time.
