For people who are not able to exercise every day, a common excuse is the lack of time, or the inability to head to the gym to meet fitness goals. Many people erroneously think that in order to be physically active, one needs to dedicate a lot of time and money into a gym, where there will be bulky and complicated equipment to exercise with. The truth, however, is that one simply needs the right intention to get into the exercise mode. Even if you do not have too much time and are swamped with work, you must practise certain exercises that hardly take any time -- those that can seamlessly blend into your busy routine. Taking to Instagram, actor and nutritionist Bhagyashree demonstrated three effective exercises involving a chair, which can be beneficial for those who are workaholics and have no time for any kind of workout session, and elderly people with mobility issues. Take a look at the video.

Chair Exercises For Tummy

Bhagyashree, who is a fitness enthusiast herself, demonstrated chair exercises that can reduce belly fat and tone down the muscles around the tummy. In the caption accompanying the video, the actor wrote: "Chair exercises work for everyone, the elderly, the lazy, the workaholic! A quick simple circuit to activate those sleepy muscles."

In the first exercise, the 56-year-old sat at the edge of the chair and lifted her hands. Then, she proceeded to bring one leg up -- knees folded -- near the chest, while simultaneously bringing her hands down to circle the knee. The same action was repeated with the other leg. She called it the seated clap routine.

This was followed by a second exercise, in which she locked her hands behind her head. While sitting at the edge of the chair, she raised one leg and brought her head close to it, in a sort of diagonal motion, repeating it on the other side. The knee elbow twists were a nice workout for the abs.

Finally, in the third exercise, Bhagyashree once again sat at the edge of the chair to perform seated leg raises, wherein she stretched out her legs in the air alternatively, keeping the other locked at the knee. She repeated it several times.

These simple exercises will hardly take 15 minutes of your time every day. They mostly work on your lower body strength, helping to keep your leg muscles and joints strong, your hips and spine straight and your mobility in order.
