Fitness icon Milind Soman, 60, continues to inspire millions of people by reminding us that age is merely a number, but what matters the most is your attitude. In an interaction with a leading media outlet, Milind Soman said, "Your body does not decide how old you are but your attitude does. I have met 20-year-olds who are tired of life and 70-year-olds who wake up excited for a morning run. It's not about stopping time, it's about moving with purpose and joy."
"Looking good is temporary, feeling good is timeless. When you chase strength, peace and health, confidence follows," says the fitness icon, he further explained. "People often say, ' I'll start when I'm ready' If you keep telling yourself that, you will never be ready. Where are you 20, 40 or 60? The best time to start loving and celebrating your body is now."
The supermodel and actor, who has entered a new decade on November 8 believes that 60 looks different today. If you wake up happy daily, sexy can feel like 40. In his words, "I think today is 60 looks very different because we have changed how we live. It's no longer about counting years, it's about counting experiences find the things that give you joy to your body, mind and spirit if you wake up excited every day, sexy can feel like 40 or even 25."
Freedom for Milind is knowing that his body still does everything he asks, even at the age of 60. He says, "Fitness for me is freedom. The freedom to climb a mountain, swim across an ocean, run barefoot, or just breathe deeply without effort. Ironman and marathon are not the goal. My motivation has never been abs or medals, it's the joy of knowing my body still does everything I ask for it. To me, that's real success."
Celebrating his 60th birthday, his wife Ankita Earthy on Instagram wrote, "If I can carry your fire, your faith, your unstoppable energy when I'm 60, I'll count myself blessed beyond measure."
