Bhagyashree fitness routine: If you have been following Bhagyashree on social media, you would know that the actor is heavily into fitness and workouts. She exercises every day, champions clean and healthy eating, and also motivates people through her posts -- photos and videos -- to lead a physically-active lifestyle that can do wonders for mental and emotional well-being, too. At the age of 55, the 'Maine Pyar Kiya' actor, who is also a nutritionist, is able to perform difficult and age-defying exercises, making it all look too easy. No wonder then that she is able to hold on to her youth so gracefully. Recently, she was seen working out in the gym, during which she demonstrated some exercises that make the core muscles strong.
According to Bhagyashree, one must never stop exercising, regardless of their age. While it is true that people often skip a workout session or two, especially in the cold winter months, they must continue to push themselves in the holiday season. Attending parties and cheating on diet while indulging in foods rich in calories is a norm around this time of the year. But, with regular exercise, one may perhaps be able to stay on track and meet their fitness goals before the end of the year.
The fitness enthusiast took to Instagram to share a video as part of her 'Monday motivation' series. The exercises she performed are meant to strengthen the core and the abs. "Party season is here and we want to look our best. So, no matter your age or time restrictions, give yourself 30 to 40 minutes to improve your body's flexibility and mobility, [and] build and tone your muscles. Put in that effort and see the results," Bhagyashree wrote. Take a look at the video here.

As part of functional training, Bhagyashree leaned against a vertical ramp, and with the help of little platforms on the side, she held her upper body strong and still while performing some leg workouts. For beginners, she suggested hanging and stretching the legs all the way down before folding them at the knees and bringing them up near the chest. Doing this movement repeatedly will give a nice workout to the legs while also making the abs and the core stronger. It can help you get rid of excess fat in the torso region.
For people who work out regularly, an advanced variation of this routine can be done. For this, Bhagyashree once again held her upper body still and hung her legs. Then, she stretched them out vertically in the air, without bending the knee, before bringing the legs down and repeating this movement. This exercise can give a nice, long stretch to your lower back thigh muscles, too, enhancing mobility by taking care of pain and other issues.
It is advisable to start slow and not exert yourself, and do these exercises in the presence and guidance of a professional initially.
