The bird of paradise pose or svarga dvidasana is a very graceful yoga pose, which is beneficial to strengthen your legs and improve balance and flexibility. This pose also strengthens your ankles, knees and thighs. The extension of the lifted leg in this pose also helps stretch the hips, groin and the hamstrings.
