Shakuntla Devi, who shed 83kg with no miracle formula other than Yoga, has left the world astounded with her transformation at this age. She went from 123 to 40 kg and performed different yoga asanas on screen. It is the viral reel that showcased her strength, flexibility and great strength on Laughter Chef's show. The caption of the post emphasised that she lives with the energy of someone who is five decades younger.
Shakuntla Devi comes from Amritsar, and she has dedicated her life to Yoga, which was not that easy. Back in 2008, she struggled immensely with her weight, and she developed problems with her vision that made life really difficult. Struggling with the weight, she often used to wonder if there was any cure without medicines.
She also started following Baba Ramdev, who used to perform yoga on Television, and began practising simple asanas at home, which was a game-changer for her. She didn't stop here, but she travelled all the way to Haridwar to learn yoga at Patanjali Yogpeeth in 2009, where she woke up at 4 am and practised daily.
