saladsSalads: We may think we are eating healthy when we opt for greens in a salad. However, that is not always a healthy choice if you insist on adding mayo or salad dressings that are laden with lots of sugar. Otherwise, salads are a healthy addition to your diet as they are high in fibre and low in calories. What more, they also add the crunch to your meal which adds to the taste. Here is a recipe of a healthy leafy salad that you can use.

grand latteGrand latte: A grande latte from a coffee shop contains 17 grams of sugar. While, it may be necessary to have coffee at times to keep oneself alert and awake, in this fast paced world- it is best to avoid certain types of coffee if you are not looking to consume sugar. While, coffee is known for it's advantages- for e.g., it's an anti-depressant, and can even reduce the risk of suicide-it's bad for your teeth, and can give you stained teeth and bad breath. If that isn't enough, it can also lead to infertility in women.

YoghurtYoghurt: Also seemingly healthy but still full of sugar are fruity yoghurts which contain 27 grams per 6 ounces. That equates to 2.7 of popular doughnuts. If you can stay away from the fruity flavor, yoghurt is actually a great health food which is good for your digestion, beauty and oral health. Not only that, it can also boost your fertility.

Packed JuicesPacked juices: Even though, most people drink fruit juices to cool themselves, and stay in good health, it is not all that healthy for everyone. Just 12 ounces of a fruit-based smoothie contains 50 grams of sugar. The study also notes that while medical research is yet to prove conclusively that sugar is the leading cause of obesity, diabetes type II and metabolic syndrome, the balance of recent medical research studies are coalescing around this conclusion.
