Human, by general consensus, are social animals. This implies that we have to co-exist in peace, and with tolerance. However, some people forget the essence of co-existence and do things that annoy others. Annoy you enough to say stop doing that! Annoy you enough to say stop-doing-that-or-I'll-kill-you. We all have our own boiling points and buttons that different actions push, but some things are general purpose annoying. I mean, there's nothing that can explain or rationalise your actions. If you have been getting the stinky eye in the public, or there has been more than one occasion when somebody looked at you and you could swear they were cursing under their breath, then there is a possibility that you have been a jerk. And need to stop being one. Here are a few instances you need to control your behaviour and not be a jerk.

  1. Stop blocking seats for your friends. Family. Neighbours. And distant relatives!
  2. Stop posting one person on the checkout line while the other goes and gets more stuff for the shopping cart.
  3. Stop honking unnecessarily, especially during a red light.
  4. Stop using your mobile phone when watching a movie in a theatre.
  5. Don't sneeze loudly, lest people think a volcano burst somewhere. Don't burp loudly. Don't make any bodily noise. #Gross
  6. Don't talk loudly to a person standing on the other end of the world. Or the room.
  7. Don't play songs loudly on your mobile phone.
  8. Don't walk real slow in a mall or crowded place.
  9. Don't litter.
  10. Don't spit.

  13. Please flush the toilet after use. Please.
  14. Do not turn on the light or watch a movie when other people are sleeping on a long distance flight.
  15. Don't touch other people's children.
  16. Don't put your shoes over other people's shoes outside temples.
  17. Don't chew loudly in restaurants. Or anywhere else.
  18. Don't jump the queue at ticket counters.
  19. Don't stall other people when you are not confident enough to get on the escalator. Take the elevator!
  20. Don't try new clothes at a store when you are sweaty and stinky. If you do, buy those clothes!
  21. Reach at parties on time.
  22. Don't browse other people's phones.
  23. Don't cuss public places.
  24. Don't make out in public places. Please.
  25. Don't bang into other people, or other people's seats. Use your eyes.
