Effects of massage on various points of abdominal and pelvic soft tissues showed that this procedure reduces the pelvic pains, in addition, to increase fertility in women who are infertile. The study concluded that massage therapy can be a fitting method to reduce the menstrual pain caused by endometriosis.
So, if you or anyone you know suffer from menstrual cramps during periods due to endometriosis, can try massage therapy to soothe self. The best part about this practice is it has no noted side-effects. However, if you are allergic to certain oils (herbal or aromatherapy oils) don t use them on your abdomen. Use massage oil that would not react adversely with your skin or give you allergies.
