We all know what obesity means. But do we really understand it? Do we really know what is obesity? We see it all around us some of us even mock it – but we need to grasp the suffering which comes with morbid obesity. Only then will we truly be aware of the pandemic of obesity. Doctors use a measure called Body Mass Index (BMI) to determine whether a person is obese. Your weight in kgs divided by the square of your height in meters gives you this index. For Asians a BMI between 18.5 and 23 kg/m2 is normal.
