In a recent video posted on Instagram, the actress shares her experience living in the perimenopause phase. She opens the video with a statement, "This message is for women between the ages of 40 and 50, maybe even 35."
She further explained the details about experiencing perimenopause, which the test result does not show you like "memory lapses, insomnia, anxiety, the feeling that you are just aren't able to cop sometimes, that you are not the person that you know to recognise."
Soha Ali Khan also touches on the point that many women go through quietly. "What's amazing is that as women, we don't talk about this. It's as if our value declines with our fertility and we are expected to sail through this rollercoaster of hormones silently or gracefully, whatever that means," she added.
"Perimenopause is not the end of youth or energy. It is a transition and transitions deserve support, not shame."
