Serena Williams came up with a heartfelt message on social media to give an update about her current life. She started by saying her summer had a pretty good beginning. Things were going smoothly, Life felt normal, and she was enjoying the season. For her August came with a lot of unexpected turns and highs and lows. She described August as truly testing her spirit and strength.
"It was one of those times when life throws you a curveball. You are forced to emotionally just stay grounded"- Serena admitted that after going through the rough patch, she realised she needed to stop and just take a moment, and it was not her headache that everything should fall in place because eventually it will someday.

She said she needed to remind herself of who she is at her core, which meant stepping back, turning out the noise and allowing herself space to feel what she needed to be. The kind of cause we all need sometimes, but often ignore because we are too busy pushing through. One thing that truly stood out was her honesty about learning to let go.
Serena said she is in the process of understanding, limited means to truly release, and stop holding on so tightly to things she can't control. She understands the importance of growth and emphasises that instead of thinking about the past, she is moving forward. During this time, she is totally focusing on prioritising her healing journey and her mental health.
Mental Health is as important as physical health. If you want a balanced and happy life, you should start prioritising your mental health because it puts an impact on your day to day life and your ability to work. It can affect your brain and cognitive function.
