UPSC 2025 Prelims Result Date: Mental Health Tips To Combat Results Related Anxiety And Stress
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is on the verge of announcing the Civil Services Preliminary Examination Result 2025. The exam was conducted on May 25, 2025, in two separate shifts. Once the result is declared, candidates can download their scorecards through the official website upsc.gov.in.
The results are anticipated anytime soon, the UPSC generally releases preliminary exam results within 15 to 20 days of the exam. If the same trend is continued, the students can expect the results anytime in the next two weeks.
During such times, students are more prone to experiencing anxiety and stress, the uncertain times can feel really pressurising to deal with. With such a vast amount of preparation, the questions about success that still loom and the possibility of what can happen put students into a vacuum of confusion that gives birth to stress. The students who think that they didn't do well in the exams are even more prone to experiencing such strain on their mental health and extreme anxiety.
What's happened has happened now, don't think about it. Focus on what is to come, regardless of how good or bad the paper was. Try to be positive and prepare for the future, be it the mains or anything else that you wish to do in your life. If the paper went well, then it's good, and even if it didn't go well, then don't think too much because you might not be the only one. So, don't be too quick to judge.
Waiting for results can make you impatient. So, do something that helps you remain busy and distracted. You can actually utilise this free time of waiting for the results to do something productive, like cultivating a hobby or anything that makes you learn and grow. The distraction will help you think less about what can happen.
Even if your exam didn't go well, don't get upset but look at the positive side. Maybe you are meant to perform better than anyone you can think of in the coming years. Think of all the previous winners who didn't make it in their initial trials but when they did, they did it better than anyone else. Remain positive and trust in what will happen; this simple process can take you places.
Take regular breaks if you are preparing for the mains now while waiting for the results; an excessive amount of work can cause brain rot and may harm your ability to retain the information for longer periods of time. Such a study is equal to not studying at all. Hence, it is advisable to take regular breaks while studying.
Be where you are and don't fidget back and forth in time, thinking of what has happened and what can possibly happen. Your time is now, so make sure that you neither get scared of the future nor rue over what has happened in the past. Remain in the moment and put all your energy into it to do what exactly helps you be at peace and happy.
Such a wait where you don't know what comes after it can really cause a lot of stress and anxiety but with the right amount of choices to make for yourself and critically choosing what to do and what not do during such a time can really lessen the strain on your mind and put you at a better place.
