Karan Aujla's journey to becoming one of the biggest Punjabi music stars in the world is inspiring, but the truth behind his rise is deeply emotional. Just before getting fame, luxury, and global recognition, he was a young boy who was carrying painful childhood drama. As he lost both his parents at a very young age, she do not only lost his personality, but also his mental health and artistic voice. Born as Jaskaran Singh Aujla on January 18, 1997, in ghurala Village of Ludhiana, Punjab, he grew up with a lot of struggle and personal losses in his life. He has always known for his writing skills and lyrics that contains deep meaning, he forced gained popularity as a songwriter in the industry before becoming a top performer.
Karan's father, Balwinder Singh Aujla, died in a motorcycle accident when car was just nine years old a trauma he recalls vividly. He once confessed in an interview that he still"sees that bike" whenever he close his eyes and even confessed that he was too scared to perform his father's last rites, watching others to do it instead. Karan Aujla was already going through a lot after his father's death win five year later, his mother Rajendra Kaur was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer. Doctors reportedly gave her 8-9 months to live. Karan mentioned that during the time when his mother was ill, he would return from school, sit by her, hold her feet and comfort her even as she suffered. His personality starts to change completely after all this and he became more quieter and withdrawal.
Losing both his parents at such a young age, left deep, emotional wounds. The grief, fear and sometimes regrets, shaped his inner world. Karan even admitted that even after having such fame and money in his life, he still feel emptiness in his heart because his parents were never there to witness his success. without parental guidance, he matured quickly. she developed the strong sense of self-reliance, but he used to live with anxiety, emotional sensitivity, and drive to prove himself.
During this hard time, current turned to songwriting as a way to process his pain. he showed his grief, the longing for his parents, and his fear into lyrics, not just for others, but ultimately for himself. Writing songs became his way to express his emotions. from music, he found a voice for his personal struggle, transforming trauma into art gracefully from which a lot of people reconnects.
Losing his parents at such an early age and loneliness, made him disciplined, focus, and hungry for success. After spending a year alone in Punjab raised by his uncle and sisters he moved to Canada with his sister and continued writing. This dedication helped him succeed in his career. He used to provide song for other Punjabi singers, and later emerged as a leading artist himself, using his pain as strength.
